Born and raised in the city of Teramo, where he discovered and matured his vocation for brushes and palettes, the artist approached art as a self-taught, then carrying it around with constancy and with true passion, so much so that he earned a active role on both the local and international markets. He did not attend art schools but the love for art came by itself, thanks also to the close contact I had with my uncle, a sculptor. Then over time he deepened his passion, first by personally studying color, then starting with the first exhibitions under the pseudonym of Melvi Arte. Exhibitions that have earned the artist several awards. Because if the first dates back to 2018, in Teramo, already in 2019 many of his works were located in Palazzo Zenobio, on the occasion of the Venice Biennale. in the same year, moreover, he participated in the exhibitions organized at theSant'Orsola Galleryin Milan and, later, in Matera. Furthermore, in 2020 he was chosen to exhibit at the Galleria Italia in Parma, as part of the event curated by the historian and art criticGiorgio GrassoIt is entitled"Parma Italian Capital of Culture 2020 - International Exhibition of Contemporary Art"and then took part in various events, including the "Babayaga" in Giulianova (Teramo), the traveling exhibition of the Bonfim Club in Nervi (Genoa) another summer event developed, also at the Porticciolo di Nervi, by the local pro loco. In the same year, among other things, he was chosen among some contemporary artists to present one of his works, a canvas 50 x 60 cm, directly onSky Art, on the occasion of a charity sale linked to the covid 19 pandemic. As for his works, explains Melchiorre Tancredi himself, they are all characterized by a constant and fervent search for color as a communication vehicle but also as a real receptacle of dictated contents from the irrepressible inspiration of a mood.
